Your car’s air conditioning system keeps you cool by removing the humidity and heat from the interior of the vehicle. It works like this: The compressor of the air conditioner pressurizes the refrigerant and pushes it through a valve to reduce its temperature, then propels the now-cool fluid through an evaporator. This process results in gentle, cool air blowing into the cabin.

Anyone who lives in Arizona doesn’t need to be sold on the value of a functioning air conditioning system in the car. Our vehicle air conditioning services will help you beat the heat. A/C Services

  • Visually check the system’s compressor drive belt for cracks or damage
  • Visually check air conditioner components for damage or leaks
  • Visually check the cabin’s air filter
  • Check the operation of the A/C compressor and the other components of the system
  • Evacuate old refrigerant from the air conditioning system
  • Perform a vacuum test
  • Recharge the air conditioning system with the refrigerant recommended by the manufacturer

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS

The air conditioning (A/C) system should be inspected yearly. However, if your car is experiencing inefficient cooling, no cooling, or a bad odor, those are all reasons to get your AC system checked.

Freon is not an item that needs to be changed. Unless there is a leak in the system, your freon does not need to be swapped out. If experiencing any of the issues noted above, it’s possible that your vehicle’s system has a leak, such as near the Schrader valves or seals. Any potential leaks or issues would be identified during a routine AC inspection/service at Cobblestone.

It is required for our staff to inspect the air filter in every vehicle we service. We will show the air filter to the customer and make a recommendation as to whether or not it should be changed. If the customer agrees, we will replace with a new air filter.
